Peggy Guggheneim Venice, the free workshops for children are back

After more than a year of absence, starting from Sunday 6 June, the Kids Days finally resume in presence, free workshops for children aged 4 to 10, which take place every Sunday in the museum, from 15 to 16.30 pm (by reservation).

In the months of June and July the appointments will be aimed at a maximum of ten participants e and will take place in the open air, in sculpture garden from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Born in 2003, Kids Days are workshops designed with the aim of introducing young visitors to art in an accessible and playful way. Due to the pandemic and the repeated periods of closure of Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, face-to-face workshops have been suspended, but returned digitally through a series of tutorials broadcast every Sunday at 15 pm on the Collection's social channels. With over 50 videos and 300.000 views, the virtual Kids Days have been enormously successful, and will continue in parallel with the face-to-face workshops. But now it's time to go back to learning live art, having fun and unleashing your creativity and imagination together with other small participants. There Participation in the workshops is by reservation on the museum website at the following link starting on the Monday preceding each appointment. The workshop is carried out in compliance with the Covid-19 containment rules and each child will receive personal work tools, previously sanitized. In case of bad weather, the Kids Days are cancelled.

Il June 24th and August 26thIndeed, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection will once again host “Summer at the Palace", project aimed at the over 75s, promoted by the Red Carpet for All Association and sponsored by the Municipality of Venice. Two appointments, from 9 to 10, before the opening hours to the public, will allow a group of guests of the fourth age to follow a free guided tour of the garden of the Collection, thus leading them to experience a moment of sharing aimed at personal well-being. In the light of the Manifesto for the rebirth that the museum launched last February and which revolves around the keywords INSPIRATIONSUSTAINABILITY THIS, opening up the understanding of art to children and in-depth study to the public of the fourth age, these activities interpret both the theme of inspiration and that of social sustainability, understood as cultural sustainability and therefore synonymous with accessibility and inclusion.
