Parmalat goes on the Stock Exchange: for analysts the Lag case brings the delisting closer

Parmalat's share on the Stock Exchange gains 1,4% at the end of the morning, posting one of the best increases in the Ftse Mib. According to various operators, the events from case Lag – relating to the purchase of the American subsidiary of Lactalis – yield more likely an offer on the market by the French to withdraw the Collecchio group from Piazza Affari

The press rumors reported today indicate that the Court of Parma would have asked for the removal from the board of director Antonio Sala and two statutory auditors, noting "the anomalous intervention by members of the French group" against Mediobanca (which had a role in the operation of advisor) in the negotiations to determine the sale price.

According to Intermonte analysts, the evolution of the investigation into Lag should push the French to evaluate the hypothesis of the delisting: “We believe – writes Intermonte – that attention to the company could give the parent company Lactalis the conditions for a delisting of the controlled".
