Three dead and five arrested. This is the provisional balance sheet of the blitz of the French police in the den of Abdelhamid Abaaoud, considered one of the masterminds of the November 13 attacks, which have been going on since this morning at 4:20 a St Denis, suburb north of Paris, less than a kilometer from the Stade de France.
Le three people terrorists were killed, including a female kamikaze who blew herself up during the blitz. There are also three skinheads who were slightly injured during the operation, while at the moment there are no injuries among the population.
The five people arrested are four men and a woman, three of whom are inside the apartment and two outside, but Abaaoud is not among them (and also among the victims), who is reportedly still barricaded in one of the two apartments object of the siege, still in progress, by the police forces.
In the meantime, the area of Saint-Denis has been secured by thousands of men from the police and the army, and the population has been asked to stay at home, so as not to get in the way of police work . Many of the bus, tram and metro lines are also blocked or closed to traffic.
