Paul Scheggi was born in Florence in 1940. After a period of study in Rome and London, Paul Scheggi moved to Milan in 1961, making Milan the center of his artistic experimentation. And it was here that Scheggi met the artists of the time, in particular the Milanese objectivists, and aroused the interest of Lucio Fontana, who followed his research closely from 1962. he died at the age of 31 in Florence.
An important reference for collectors is the Paolo Scheggi Association (established in Milan in 2013). Reality aimed at authenticating, archiving, preserving and cataloging both the works of Paolo Scheggi and all the writings, documents, data, testimonies, news and any other material of interest, concerning the work and life of Paul Scheggi. One of the fundamental activities of the Association is the creation of the catalog raisonné of Paolo Scheggi's work, which is currently underway.
