Open Fiber awarded for well-being policies

Open Fiber was awarded a certificate of merit for "organizational welfare policies" in the context of the Welfare Awards event, promoted by Easywelfare. A special recognition that bears witness to Open Fiber's attention to personnel.

Open Fiber launched the Open Welfare portal two years ago, to give all colleagues the opportunity to convert the performance bonus into flexible benefit. In fact, Open Welfare represents the dynamic heart of the corporate welfare system which offers a very rich system of services for all employees: from caring measures, such as health insurance that can be extended by exercising the premium option, up to "time-saving" measures, such as the possibility of filing the tax return directly in the company using qualified professionals.

The strength of the Open Welfare project depends on the active participation of the Open Fiber community which is called, also through targeted surveys, to suggest the services to be included in the offer portfolio, in order to make the Welfare Plan ever closer to its needs. All this is added to the work-life balance and caring measures envisaged for employees and families, with particular attention to parenting issues, including the expansion of leave for compulsory paternity, the increase in remuneration for parental leave in addition to what has already been paid by INPS and more flexibility to manage the illnesses of children. Furthermore, leave and solidarity holidays have also been introduced: a proof of responsibility and generosity for all workers, who will be able to offer them to colleagues for the management of complex family situations.

A company investment in employee well-being that has been met with satisfaction. In fact, the conversion rate of this year's performance bonus was 46% against 27% in 2018. A high participation rate if we consider that the average conversion of companies in the national telecommunications sector did not exceed 9% in 2018.

“Since the establishment of the Company, the strategy of Open Fiber's Human Resources Department has focused on welfare as a factor in achieving the challenging corporate objectives. The climate in which we work on a daily basis and the psychophysical well-being of all colleagues are a central driving factor for achieving our ambitious business objectives in the best possible way – underlines the director of Human Resources Ivan Rebernik – Welfare, Wellness and Wellbeing are the keywords that put employees and their well-being at the centre, inside and outside the company. This is why we continue to invest in performance bonuses and encourage their conversion into welfare and wellbeing services. We are giving these tools an increasingly coherent form with the specific needs of colleagues who contribute every day to building a piece of our country's future".
