Appointments in the bank - Montani will lead Carige, perhaps Castagna new CEO of Bpm, Banca Marche commissioner

The Genoese Piero Montani will become the new CEO of Cargie on Tuesday on the recommendation of the president Cesare Castelbarco - Montani thus leaves Bpm where he will probably be replaced by Giuseppe Castagna, the former general manager of the Bancpo of Naples (Intesa group) - Meanwhile, it's over in Jesi as expected: Banca Marche has been commissioned

Changes in sight at the bank. The first move concerns Carige, whose board of directors will appoint the Genoese Piero Montani (now CEO of Bpm) as new managing director. It will be proposed by the president Cesare Castelbarco Albani to attempt the regeneration and relaunch of the Ligurian bank.

In all probability, Montani's place at the helm of Bpm should be replaced by Giuseppe Castagna, former general manager of Banco di Napoli (Intesa group), from which he left only a few months ago due to the penalty suffered in the group's last appointments despite the excellent results achieved in Naples.

The latest news concerning the banks is instead the announced end of Banca Marche: the local consortium that was supposed to guarantee the capital increase necessary to restore and relaunch the Jesi institution has vanished, from which the president Rainer Masera has resigned and some advisers including the independent economist Pietro Alessandrini, the Bank of Italy has decided to transform the provisional management into a receivership. And Via Nazionale will probably try in the next few months, after cleaning up the balance sheet, to accompany Banca Marche to a new wedding.
