As expected, the new Board of Generali, which met today for the first time after last Friday's shareholders' meeting which confirmed the victory of the board's list, confirmed Philippe Donnet as CEO and appointed Andrea Sironi, former president of the Stock Exchange Italian, as the new president.
Generali also announced the appointment of Fabio Cleva a Head of Investor and Rating Agency Relations, effective immediately. Cleva – who joined Generali Investments in 2003 as Credit Analyst – will report directly to the Group CFO, Cristiano Borean. Cleva will take the place of Julia Raffo who, after gaining significant experience in senior management roles within the financial sector, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer of Country Italia & Global Business Lines and Chief Financial Officer of Generali Italia.
Cleva has gained significant experience in the Finance and Investments areas, held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Asset & Wealth Management and boasts a long career in the Group. "He will be responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of the Group's interaction with the financial markets and ensuring a consistent and transparent dialogue with investors, analysts and rating agencies", reads a Generali statement. Fabio holds the title of Chartered Financial Analyst.
