Nitto Palma new Minister of Justice and Bernini to the Department of Community Policies

The President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano, on a proposal from Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, has appointed Francesco Nitto Palma as Minister of Justice and Anna Maria Bernini as Minister without Portfolio with responsibility for Community Policies. This is what emerged after the meeting at the Quirinale with the premier and the undersecretary to the presidency of the Council Gianni Letta.

The Knight believes he is convinced that Nitto Palma will be able to strengthen the Government's action, which he knows he needs since it intends, as he reiterated today, to complete the legislature. Berlusconi declared: “I'm going on, now we start again. With the new Minister of Justice, we can relaunch the Government's action and thanks to Alfano that of the party."

In the afternoon, the resignation of Angelino Alfano's former Minister of Justice had arrived at Colle.

Francesco Nitto Palma, sixty-one years old from Catania, current Undersecretary of the Interior, is a former magistrate elected in 2001 for the first time in Parliament and in 2006 in the Senate.
Anna Maria Bernini, daughter of the former minister for foreign trade in the first Berlusconi government, is an associate professor of law at the University of Bologna, the city where she was born in 1965.
