Nexi: agreement with Conio on the cryptocurrency exchange

Nexi has signed an agreement with Conio, an Italian fintech that has developed a portfolio of digital currencies accessible and manageable via app.

According to the provisions of the agreement, Conio will join Nexi Open, Open Banking service platform managed by the company headed by Paolo Bertoluzzo. Thanks to this collaboration, Nexi will be able to make the services offered by Conio available to its partner banks and the credit institutions, in turn, will be able to insert in their wallet and therefore offer customers the cryptocurrency trading service.

The exchange of digital currencies is in fact an increasingly requested service, so much so that, in the months of lockdown, Conio has recorded a strong acceleration, seeing the demand for Bitcoin quadruple in the app and reaching over 90.000 customers.

“The partnership with Conio allows us to bring on board Nexi Open an Italian player who has been able to stand out on the international scene for the simplicity, speed and security of the proposed solutions – comments Alessandro Piccioni, Head of strategy & innovation at Nexi – It is an agreement that guarantees banks a new service that is useful both for expanding the perimeter of their offer and for concretely taking on one of the trends of fast-developing businesses such as digital currencies”

“Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for a bank to include Bitcoin in their offering. It is precisely in this framework that the agreement with Nexi is placed: to allow as many banks as possible to access the service in a simple way – declares Christian Miccoli, Co-Founder of Conio. Then comment Vincenzo Di Nicola, Co-Founder of Conio.
