Newlat brings together Carlo De Benedetti and his children

The fascination of the food industry and in particular of the IPO Newlat brings together the De Benedetti family, albeit indirectly. The tough battle over the future of Repubblica and the Gedi publishing house remains, but both Carlo De Benedetti and his son Rodolfo are among the 68 investors who have booked the shares of the food brand that is preparing to debut on the stock exchange next Tuesday.

After all, food is an old love of the engineer who at the end of the 80s had Buitoni in his portfolio, which today is one of the flagship assets of the Mastrolla family's Newlat together with Delverde pasta and Polenghi milk.

With his Romed Carlo De Benedetti would have invested 500 thousand euros in Newlat and a small shareholding would also have his son Rodolfo, who is among other things president of Cir and Gedi, through Decalia Asset management, of which he is one of the directors.
