Nava: "Returning to Consob better than Padoa-Schioppa and Spaventa"

Excellent presentation in Parliament by the designated president of Consob, Mario Nava, who marked a clear discontinuity from the management of the forced Vegas player and who explicitly said he wanted to be inspired by the glorious presidencies of Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa and Luigi Spaventa

Nava: "Returning to Consob better than Padoa-Schioppa and Spaventa"

The hearing before the Finance and Treasury Commissions of the Chamber and the Senate was enough to understand what the new designated president of Consob, Mario Nava, who received the green light from Parliament and is only waiting for the decree signed by the President of the Republic to take office.

Nava's Consob will mark a clear discontinuity from the hyperpoliticized one of his predecessor, Giuseppe Vegas, who up until the last day never forgot that he was a former Forza Italia parliamentarian before being a civil servant.

Nava, on the other hand, explicitly cited as virtuous models of Consob, those of Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa and Luigi Spaventa, from whom he intends to draw inspiration.

The future president indicated as key principles of his management the collegiality of the top management, the search for all possible synergies with the Bank of Italy, Ivass and the Treasury and the attempt to make Consob not an absorbent paper for the rules written by others but the engine of change by actively participating in the drafting of the new rules of the game for the financial markets and for the defense of savers. In short, an "integrated and dynamic" supervision that seeks to anticipate because "intervening late is of little use".

If good morning starts in the morning, Nava is certainly halfway there.
