The Maison Lion is born, when fashion becomes art

THE MAISON LION is a made in Italy brand, born from the experience of the last three decades of Marika Lion, who enjoys an international reputation as an expert in institutional communication and public relations in the art and creativity sector.

His style is unique as it integrates knowledge of art, design and luxury, proposing them in a contemporary vision that takes shape through exclusive fashion objects. Under his careful direction, ideas conceived by young designers, artists and stylists come to life, proposing excellent solutions that are offered to the market as finished products for international markets that are looking for demanding ideas.

Everything is placed under a precise expression "Charming lifestyle for Charming peoplewith three distinctions:

- MADE IN ITALY “Each creation is made by expert Italian craftsmen, who with their long experience and mastery of detail, give the product the typical quality and exclusivity made in Italy.”

- ARTE “A unique style as it integrates the knowledge of art, design and luxury, proposing them in a contemporary vision that takes shape through exclusive fashion objects.”

– UNIQUE ITEMS "A team of designers, artists and stylists works to create "limited edition" solutions that are offered to the market as finished products for international markets that are looking for demanding ideas."

What distinguishes the project is the idea of a fashion product "contaminated" by art which is presented through exclusive sales channels, museum shops, galleries, shops and boutiques. The first collection destined for "Hypnotic" museums is dedicated to Pop Art and with three bag models it is already exclusive to the Guggenheim shop-museum in Venice.

While the LAB-ph area which takes its name from Laboratorio – pharmacy is a creative place where the alchemy of art, fashion, design and photography come together to create a new lifestyle. Thus was born a unique style with details finely proposed in a contemporary vision in fashion objects with ideas conceived by young collaborators who then compose solutions that are offered to international companies and brands that are looking for demanding ideas. This area includes collaborations with universities and design schools from all over the world.

The Journal presented on the site is the soul of Marika Lion, in her way of discovering and interviewing people or choosing the best events that she proposes and shares with her usual passionate readers already in her author blog.

“I started thinking about this project a few years ago, but I knew I could only count on my experience, but the fascination that fashion exercised in me led me to investigate inside every stylistic concept, convinced that there was a strong art representation that would help me conclude my thought. Art like nature has always influenced many stylists who have made the history of costume to the point of being its muse, the true source of inspiration for every creation. My experience is mainly in culture, while in the fashion sector I consider myself an attentive spectator. Then I wanted to think of art as an element to be worn, in a unique and timeless way, an accessory exactly like a work of art in limited editions and with a passport of authenticity. So I looked for designers, artists and stylists to "compose" this project, wonderful people who made me overcome all the initial anxieties of not being a protagonist in the fashion world, and with them I rediscovered the conviction that there is something different in this project, not only for the search for a style but also in the way of offering these little expressions of artistic magic. And this is how I started a different dialogue with museums, galleries and those boutique places that I define as "contaminated with style". Now I'm preparing a limited collection of 15 unique pieces (iron for gold clutch) with the help of a designer and the collaboration of a disabled people's cooperative who will take care of the packaging of the product. A piece will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to the same cooperative to support the activities. All to be exhibited in a gallery almost like an installation where poor art merges with richer and more exciting elements, a sort of metamorphosis of the concept of luxury”.
