Mps returns to the Stock Exchange: Consob green light

On Wednesday 25 October, the share of Monte dei Paschi is back on the stock exchange listing – After the precautionary recapitalization that will make the State the first shareholder of the Sienese bank, Consob has given the definitive clearance for listing on the Stock Exchange – Another investigation into the former Viola and Perfume for the hypothesis of obstacle to surveillance

The securities of Monte dei Paschi di Siena are back on the stock exchange. The clearance from Consob has arrived, informs the bank, for the registration document, the information note and the summary note relating to the admission to listing on the Borsa Italiana MTA of the Bank's ordinary shares.

These are, the bank points out, the new shares issued on 1 August, following the adoption of burden sharing measures (the 'Burden Sharing') following the capital increase subscribed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Consob therefore ordered the revocation of the resolution relating to the temporary suspension of trading in the regulated markets of MPS securities with consequent readmission to listing starting from 25 October.

Meanwhile, a new judicial investigation has been launched for the former top management of the Monte and that is for the former president Alessandro Profumo and the former CEO Fabrizio Viola with the hypothesis of obstacle to supervision.
