Modena Motor Gallery and 90 years of Maserati

A physiological strategy for a territory unique in the world, the Motor Valley, where in the space of less than 50 kilometers Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Dallara, Ducati and Pagani compete, brands and know-how that represent Italian excellence at planetary level.

Modena Motor Gallery and 90 years of Maserati

The strategy for the 2016 edition focuses on two precise choices. In September, enthusiasts will find waiting for them at ModenaFiere, a market area of over 20 square meters, with quality proposals in all segments (cars, motorcycles, spare parts, automobilia).
Alongside this large commercial space, the organizers have planned a series of top-level exhibitions, made possible precisely by the important synergies that only this magnificent area can offer.

First of all, a large exhibition, which will unfold over 1500 square meters, dedicated to the excellence of the Emilia Romagna Motor Valley. Here enthusiasts will be able to compete with the best of the great brands that are concentrated along a segment of just 50 km of the Via Emilia. Great names universally admired, but also that set of research laboratories, excellent craftsmen, experts who constitute the cultural terrain of this Land of Motors.
A present that has roots in the past documented here by the Ferrari Museums of Modena and Maranello and the Lamborghini Museum of Sant'Agata, but also by exceptional private collections such as those of Righini, Stanguellini and Panini.

Several focuses connected to important anniversaries: from the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ferruccio Lamborghini to the 50th anniversary of the Miura, presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1966, leaving visitors breathless and ushering in a new era in the automotive sector sports.

Maserati's 90th birthday is also being celebrated this year. On 25 April 1926, a car with a 1500 cm³ 8-cylinder engine made its appearance at the Targa Florio, driven by the same designer, who finished ninth in its class by modifying the Diatto (with which he had entered) in what became his first car: the Maserati, in fact.

Modena Motor Gallery dedicates an important space to Ducati, curated by Claudio Lusuardi. 90 years ago, in 1926, the Ducati company was born under the name of Società Scientifica Radio Brevetti Ducati. At the time, it specialized in the research and production of radio communication technologies. Two more decades had to pass for the birth of the motorcycle department where the Cucciolo was produced under license, a single-cylinder 48 cc engine with two-speed gearbox to be applied as an auxiliary propeller to a normal bicycle. Ducati has come a long way, in every sense, since then. And Modena Motor Gallery ed.2016 rightly highlights it. For those who arrive on the saddle of a Ducati during the weekend, admission to the exhibition/market is free.

Organized by the Ames Museum, 15 fantastic Bubble Cars never seen together will welcome visitors in the Central Gallery, to the delight of Micro Car enthusiasts.

It is in the tradition of Modena Motor Gallery to reserve a place of honor for the artisans of the sector. It is also from their intuitions and their mastery that the excellence of the Modena Motor Valley has drawn life. They are the ones who can restore youth and polish to many historic cars and motorbikes. The artisans will find here, as always, an important space and will be the "crown" of an entire pavilion of car dealers. For the first time at the Modena Motor Gallery some young craftsmen will show live how a plate is beaten and shaped and how it is welded.

Modena Motor Gallery looks to the glorious past, but also wants to help create a better future for everyone. For this reason, a charity auction of automobilia will be held during the days of the fair, the proceeds of which will go to the Dino Ferrari Institute in Maranello, to support the research and design of zero-emission vehicles.
