Bridal fashion, a new acquisition for Maison Signore

Bridal fashion, a new acquisition for Maison Signore

Bridal fashion is increasingly becoming an industry unto itself within the broader fashion industry in general. And Italy has its cards to play. The Neapolitan Maison Signore has announced the acquisition in Apulia of "Le Spose di Sofia", a Lecce-based company appreciated for its all-Italian quality product, with a widespread penetration of the national market.

"Following the possible closure of the company or sale to international players in the sector - specifies the press release announcing the operation - Maison Signore has taken over the company, thus ensuring continuity of work for the 20 employees and for all induced. The company, led by the administrator Gino Signore is about to relaunch it after having carried out a restyling of the brand which becomes “Sofia Haute Couture” and of the line, made more current and fashion oriented”.

“We are adding a further piece – commented Gino Signore – to our growth strategy for internal and external lines: we are increasingly developing our internationalization and growth activities in our reference markets while always maintaining our presence in the domestic market and at the same time we are evaluating further production realities and further brands of our made in Italy, artisanal and high quality, to be acquired".

Maison Signore continues the expansion that goes hand in hand with the safeguarding of Made in Italy, especially if produced in the South. In Puglia, in 2017, it has already taken over the Giovanna Sbiroli brand by opening a production unit in Putignano, the capital of bridal where more than 40% of the Italian production in the sector is made.

Maison Signore has been operating for over forty years in the bridal fashion sector with ateliers in Naples, Aversa and Caserta, producing four collections and over 400 different models of wedding dresses every year. All dresses are Made in Italy and handmade.
