In second place was Simone Padoan's I Tigli pizzeria in San Bonifacio. Third place for Seu Pizza Illuminati by Pier Daniele Seu, in Rome. And the prize for the best Pizza of the Year has also arrived in the capital: it is La Parmigiana Viaggiatrice from 180g Pizzeria Romana, in Rome.
Going back to the Top Ten, we find 50 Kalò, in Naples, by Ciro Salvo in fourth place; in fifth position is 180g Pizzeria Romana by Jacopo Mercuro, in Rome, followed by I Masanielli – Sasà Martucci, in Caserta, Francesco & Salvatore Salvo, in Naples Dry Milano, in Milan, led by Lorenzo Sirabella; Change-Minds by Ciccio Vitiello, in Caserta; The News 94, in Naples, by Enzo Coccia.

The Italy 2023 guide is made up of over 500 pizzerias, the first 100 in the standings and the others classified such as excellent pizzerias. The first 40 positions enter by right in the ranking of the 100 Best Pizzerias in the World, which will meet on 13 September at the Palazzo Reale in Naples.
Eight Forni Verdi, i.e. the awards given to highly environmentally sustainable pizzerias, assigned to: I Masanielli di Sasà Martucci, in Caserta; The Grotticelle, in Caggiano; Pupillo Pura Pizza, in Frosinone; Denis, in Milan; Pizzeria Le Parùle, in Herculaneum; Pizzeria Gigi Pipa, in Este; Pizzarium, in Rome, and Grotto Pizzeria Castello, in Caggiano.
