He was away from Italy for many days, he only made himself heard locally, now he seems determined to invade the country. We are talking about the African anticyclone which will invade Italy from 23 August: starting from 22/23 August in fact, i.e. from the beginning of next week, a low pressure off the coast of Ireland will drop in latitude, thus favoring the ascent of the African anticyclone towards the Iberian Peninsula, the central Mediterranean, and then Italy. The anticyclone seems to want to extend as far as central Europe.
After the scattered thunderstorms that will affect Northern Italy over the weekend, high pressure will increase decisively throughout the country, bringing conditions of ample sunshine and constantly increasing heat to all regions. Thermal values will rise progressively in all regions, and may even touch 38/40° in Sicily, Puglia and Sardinia, above 32/34° in the rest of the regions. The heat also returns, which will be felt more in the early hours of the morning and towards the evening.
