Weather: Epiphany with the sun but the cold returns

Weekend with sun almost everywhere (except for some clouds in the Center-South), but from Monday 6 January temperatures will drop by a few degrees.

Weather: Epiphany with the sun but the cold returns

Here comes the Befana, and in the sock she wears a little cold. Nothing to be alarmed about, after all we are in the heart of winter and after the Christmas holidays spent with a spring-like climate in a good part of the country, it is also physiological that the mercury column goes below zero. In return, the Epiphany weekend, from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 January, will once again be under the banner of the sun, on 90% of the country. Thus continues the positive streak of a holiday period of which it is objectively impossible to complain: Christmas, New Year's Eve and now even the Epiphany have been kissed by the sun.

In detail, Saturday actually foresees some cloud cover, with some showers as well, but only in some central-southern regions. Still mild temperatures, quite high compared to the season averages, with the maximum temperatures in half of Italy exceeding 10 degrees. On Sunday 5 January, however, the sun returns to shine full-bodied, with the exception of some small residual rain in Puglia. Still high temperatures, practically everywhere above zero (the maximum).

The music changes on Epiphany day: sun, still lots of sun, with a modest residual cloudiness only in the South, but the thermometer is dropping. This is not a real wave of frost, but both the minimum and maximum temperatures will drop by an average of 4-5 degrees, in many areas of the country.
