While the Fiom takes to the streets, with strikes and demonstrations between today and tomorrow, to protest against the separate agreements, Fim and Uilm have signed an agreement with Federmeccanica for the renewal of the contract for metalworkers relating to the three-year period 2013-2015, a renewal involving 1,6 million workers, the second, after that of 2009, signed without Fiom.

The contract provides for an average salary increase of 130 euros gross per month. The unions were asking for 150, while Federmeccanica, right up to the end, was stuck at 125 euros.
