Financial Education Month: the second edition in October

Financial Education Month: the second edition in October

October will once again be Financial Education Month. The initiative, now in its second edition, envisages around 500 appointments in all regions of Italy, with a 50% increase in participants compared to last year.

Promoted by the Committee for the planning and coordination of financial education activities (Edufin), Financial Education Month includes free seminars, lessons, games, workshops and shows. “The goal is to offer opportunities to find out, discuss and understand how to manage and plan personal and family financial resources, exploring the topics of savings, investments, insurance and pensions”, reads a note.

The event will open with the "World Investor Week", which will see the debut of the first National Insurance Education Day on October 9, and will close on the 31st with World Savings Day.

A novelty compared to last year is the presence of numerous appointments dedicated to social security, promoted above all by the professional associations and pension funds.

“A lot of information is needed on the subject of social security – explains Annamaria Lusardi, director of the Edufin Committee – There are important decisions to be taken as a young person to ensure a peaceful future at the end of one's professional life. For the 2019 edition, the Committee has decided to focus on young people because they are the investment for our future, even if the Month is aimed at everyone: from children to women, from families to small entrepreneurs, up to the elderly . This year we start from Milan, the city of finance in Italy, and we have chosen a historic and extraordinary theater like the Piccolo. Let's experiment together how we can talk about finance in a simple and even fun way with a show for students that crosses the languages of theater and cinema".

The calendar of the initiative can be found on the portal quelcheconta.gov.it.

In fact, it will be possible to find out about all the public events of the 2019 Financial Education Month calendar also through the Facebook page @ITAedufin, which has added itself to accounts Twitter @ITAedufin e Instagram @itaedufin.
