The transalpine financier's group now has more than 5% of the media, cinema and internet company listed on the New York Stock Exchange – Bolloré now surpasses the US fund Blackrock (4,62%) and Société Generale (4,55%) .

The Bollorè group is became the first shareholder of Vivendi, with a 5,01% stake, after having sold the two television channels Direct 8 and Direct Star to Groupe Canal+, a subsidiary of Vivendi itself. Downstream of the operation, the group of the French financier Vincent Bollorè holds 66 million shares of the company and emphasizes that it intends to "keep in the long term" the stake that puts it in first place among institutional investors.

Also, the chairman of the supervisory board Jean-Renè Fourtou, has announced that he will propose the entry of Vincent Bollorè into the board itself. Among the other shareholders of the group, the US fund Blackrock stands out (4,62%), followed by Société Generale (4,55%).
