Marposs goes shopping and thinks about new acquisitions

Marposs goes shopping and continues to look around, targeting small excellent companies in the reference sector.

The jewel from Bologna, world leader in the supply of high-precision measurement and control instruments, has recently acquired control of Blulink, a software house in Reggio Emilia, specialized in the management of processes related to quality and occupational safety. Blulink is a small reality, but, in turn, is a spearhead in its field, with a turnover of 4 million and 28 years of activity behind it, with a constantly growing trend. The purchase confirms the will of the Bolognese to enter the era of industry 4.0 as protagonists, developing wide-ranging digital strategies.

“The acquisition of quality companies with products complementary to the more traditional ones of our group – says the patron Stefano Possati – aims to further enhance the range of solutions we offer and to allow us to enter new market sectors. This strategy is one of the main keys to the growth of the group in recent years, with investments in research and development and the strengthening of the assistance and sales structures".

Marposs has a turnover close to 500 million euros, does 96% of exports and boasts 3200 employees worldwide, 1200 of which in Italy. Among his customers there are practically all the major car manufacturers, from BMW to Jaguar, from Ferrari to Ford, companies in the aerospace, biomedical, consumer electronics and glass sectors. Founded by Mario Possati in 1952, it has always stood out in providing cutting-edge solutions for quality control in the workshop environment, from the precision measurement of mechanical components before, during and after the manufacturing process, to process controls and conditions of the machine tool, from leak checks for all industrial sectors, to automatic assembly and control lines

Blulink, with a team of over 40 people, has focused above all on the development of software solutions for the integrated management of quality and safety in the workplace gathered in the Quarta®3 platform, adopted by over 1.000 companies in Italy and in various countries in the world.
