From April 2016, XNUMX the electricity and gas bills they will become cheaper. This was announced by the Energy Authority, specifying that for the typical family (average electricity consumption of 2.700 kWh per year and committed power of 3 kW) the electricity bill will drop by 5%, while for gas the the decrease will be even more substantial, with a -9,8% (but in the summer it could be lower). In a year the overall average savings will be 67 euros.

These changes are the consequence of the update of the reference economic conditions for families and small consumers under protection for the second quarter of 2016.

In detail, for electricity, expenditure for the typical household in the rolling year (July 1, 2015-June 30, 2016) will be approximately €502, with a decrease of 1,6% compared to the equivalent 12 months of the previous year (July 1, 2014- June 30, 2015), for a saving of approx 8 €.

As for the gas, the expenditure of the typical family in the same period will be around 1.076 euros, with a reduction of 5,2%, equal to a saving of around 59 €.
