Ilva closes its doors. After the preventive seizure order notified yesterday by the Taranto magistrate, "he will appeal against the seizure order and, pending the definition of the appeal judgment, he will comply with the order given by the Taranto magistrate".

This was stated in a note from the Group which states that "this will immediately and inevitably make it impossible to market the products and, consequently, the cessation of all activities, as well as the closure of the Taranto plant and all the plants in the group that depend, for their business, on supplies from the Taranto plant".

After this decision, the Prime Minister, Mario Monti, has convened a summit for next Thursday, November 29, at 15 pm at Palazzo Chigi. In addition to the Premier, according to what has been learned, ministers Passera, Clini and Balduzzi will be present for the government.
