Leone film group will land in Piazza Affari before Christmas

The company founded in Rome in 1989 by Sergio Leone and now run by his sons, known as the Leone film group, will land on Aim Italia before Christmas. The expected valuation will be between 58 and 73 million euros, while the listing price of the shares, according to Radiocor reports, will be set in a range between 4,8 and 5,8 euros, for a pre-offer company value of 48-58 million euros.

The company met with over thirty Italian institutional investors this morning in Milan and the placement will begin tomorrow, which will last until December 13 for institutional investors and until November 27 for retail, which will be able to subscribe for securities through Directasim platforms and Banca Sella. A new element, the latter, for Aim companies, whose offer is usually aimed at qualified investors.

Of the total 10-15 million of the offer (for a free float post IPO at 10-15%), all in capital increase, 4,99 million will be aimed at small savers, with a minimum lot of 300 shares. In fact, the market regulation envisages that placements of less than 5 million do not constitute a solicitation of savings. Negotiations should begin on 18 December.

"The Aim Italia market will be a training ground to then move on to the main list", explained Andrea Leone, president, CEO and shareholder with 50% of Leone group (the other 50% is in the hands of his sister, Raffaella, managing director of the 'agency). “We have decided – he added – to open the offer to retail because ours is a brand known internationally, primarily in the United States. At the moment the operation is aimed only at the Italian market, but many US funds have shown interest. Our goal is to gather the resources to forge new agreements with American distributors and manufacturers, like the one we already have with Dreamworks'”.

At the moment the Leone group has started the second co-production with Gabriele Muccino for the film Fathers and Daughters, which will be released in December-January 2014-2015. However, The Wolf of Wall Street will soon be released, as announced by Raffaella Leone, and the premiere of the film could be broadcast in January at Palazzo Mezzanotte, the headquarters of BorsaItaliana. The following productions will be: in February Delivery Man, in March Need for Speed, in April Trascendence, after the summer Dumb&Dumber, The Hundred foot journey, She is funny that way, Before I go to sleep, Eliza Graves and in December 2014/January 2015 Fathers and Daughters.

As far as the accounts are concerned, the Leone group closed the first half-year with an ebitda of 6,2 million euros (6,7 million in the whole of 2012 and 11,7 million in 2011), revenues of 8,8 million (13,1. 0,9 million) and a profit of 1,4 million (XNUMX million). Among the group's comparables are Lionsgate, Entertainment One and DreamWorks.
