For who is in Spain and to be exact in Barcelona the answer is easy: you have to go to the Panatieri tailor shop in Calle de l'Encarnació, 51 elected as the best pizzeria in the 50 Top Pizza Europe 2023 ranking. An important success for the pizzeria of Rafa Panatieri and Jorge Sastre, which also won the special Pizza of the Year 2023 award with a pizza based on Salsa de tomates cherry asados, mozzarella y holandesa de albahaca.
For second place in the standings you have to move to Copenhagen and reach Christian Puglisi's pizzeria. The Panatieri and Puglisi have ousted the pizzeria 50 Kalò from the throne, opened by Ciro Salvo in London ranked third this year.
La Spain is the most represented nation in the guide with 17 addresses, followed from England with 16 addresses, then the Germany with 15 and France with 13, a total of 33 nations involved. In general, the whole European quality pizza movement has found an important push forward in the last year.

Returning to the awards, Francesco Calò's pizzeria, Via Toledo Enopizzeria in Vienna, Austria, was awarded the special Best Wine List 2023 – Asti DOCG Award.
Fifth position for Pizza Zulù, in Fürth, which also receives the Made in Italy 2023 – Mammafiore Award; sixth is the Fratelli Figurato pizzeria in Madrid; seventh Forza, in Helsinki, which wins the Best Fried Food – Il Fritturista 2023 – Oleificio Zucchi Award; eighth place for Napoli on the Road, in London, by Michele Pascarella, who also won the coveted Pizza Maker of the Year 2023 – Ferrarelle Award; in ninth place nNea, in Amsterdam. The top ten is closed by La Balmesina, in Barcelona.
