The "dove" Yellen relaunches the stock exchanges and Piazza Affari celebrates

The Dow Jones hits a new record and the European stock exchanges are racing: Piazza Affari rises by 1,6% thanks above all to oil and asset management - Saipem and Tenaris, Azimut and Banca Generali shine - Telecom Italia recovers but the situation remains at the top high voltage – Sales on Ubi and Ferragamo.

Janet Yellen boosts the markets and Piazza Affari also gains momentum after the opening of Wall Street, closing up 1,52%, at 21.432 points. In her semiannual address to Congress, anticipated in writing, the Fed chair she seemed more dovish than expected and this inflamed the dollar and the stock markets, while European bonds regained their share, with yields declining. The 10-year Italy BTP drops to 2,26%, while the differential with the Bund jumps back by 4,84% to 167.30 points.

Toned all the continental squares, which had already started off on the right foot in the morning, thanks to the energy and mining sectors and on the back of the good results of the retail chains. The best is Paris, +1,59%, in the Frankfurt area +1,52%, then London +1,19% and Madrid +1,07%. In New York, about an hour after the opening, the Dow Jones reached new historic highs. The session continues positive also for Nasdaq and S&P. 

Oil, which was up sharply up until half an hour before the closing of the European lists, slowed down sharply after the EIA figure, even if US weekly stocks were down more than expected. Production continues to grow slightly. Brent +0,42%, 47,72 dollars a barrel. Gold recovering slightly: +0,27%, 1221,04 dollars an ounce.

The single currency slides against the dollar by 0,43%, the cross drops to 1,412. Among the queens of Piazza Affari there is the prancing horse: Ferrari, +3,66%. Still in the automotive sector, Brembo is recovering, +3,06%. Among the financials, Azimut +3,8% and Banca Generali 3,48% stand out. The banks are in tune, with the exception of Ubi -1,79%, the worst stock on the Ftse Mib.

Brilliant Saipem, 3,29%, with the green light from the Cipe for the Brescia-Verona Tav project, the design and construction of which were entrusted by Ferrovie dello Stato to the Cepav due consortium, led by Saipem (52%) and Pizzarotti (24%), as well as Condotte and Maltauro construction company, both with 12%. For Saipem, according to press reports, it would be a contract worth 1,3 billion. Money also on other oil companies, Tenaris +3,10%, Eni +1,70%.  

Stm +3,29% and Telecom +2,16% are up, after the uncertainties of the last few sessions. Weak Ferragamo, -0,39%.
