EXCHANGES SUSPENDED WAITING FOR THE FED'S REPORT. MEDIASET UP, MPS DOWN, THUD OF POP.ETRURIA

Calm reigns on the markets waiting for the wind from the Fed to blow on the markets at 20 pm, followed by the press conference by Janet Yellen. In Milan, the Ftse Mib index closed at 22030, with an increase of 0,15%. Paris moves back by 0,13%, while the London and Frankfurt markets move +0,1%. Madrid +0,47%. Wall Street also showed little movement: Dow Jones -0,21%, S6P -0,05%.

In Piazza Affari, the movements of the Fininvest house stand out. Advances Mediaset: Telefonica has announced that it has presented a binding offer that can reach 355 million for the 22% of Digital+ pay-TV held by the Italian group. Meanwhile Mondadori lost 8% to 1,059 euros. The company announced this morning that it had placed a package of 29,95 million shares, partly new and partly held as treasury shares, for a total of approximately 12% of the capital, at a price of 1,06 euros per share.

Meanwhile Telecom Italia, of which Telefonica is now the first single shareholder, rose by 1,1%. In evidence among industrialists Prysmian +2% followed by Cnh Industrial +1%. Fiat retreats -0,4%. Finmeccanica is down by 0,9%, awaiting the first moves of the new managing director Mauro Moretti. Stm also goes down. MontePaschi loses 4,2% to 2,41 euros. The right is trading at 19,99 euros, up 2%.

Banca Carige also fell -3,6%. Violent thud by Popolare dell'Etruria -12,5% ​​12,5% ​​after Banca Popolare di Vicenza's renunciation of launching a hostile takeover bid: last week the Tuscan bank said no to the 222 million euro cash offer .
