Improve the trade balance Italian. According to Istat, in February the surplus of our country with foreign trade reached 3,5 billion against 2,7 billion in the same month of 2014. Moreover, net of energy, the balance is positive for 6,1 billion. Exports increased by 2,5%, while imports stopped at +0,6%.
On a trend basis, the trend increase in exports was 3,7%, driven by sales to the non-EU area (+7,1%). The increase in value reflects the positive trend of both average unit values (+2,4%) and volumes (+1,3%).
The trend growth of exports was particularly sustained towards United States (+ 48,5%) and Czech Republic (+14,3%). Also results in Poland e Turkey recorded strong growth rates (+10,8 and +10,6% respectively). The sales of means of transport showed marked growth: motor vehicles +31,6%, the rest of the sector +32,8%.
