The group companies operating in Italy (Generali Italia, Alleanza Assicurazioni and Genertel/Genertellife) have defined concessions for their customers residing in the Municipalities of Ischia, Casamicciola, Serrara Fontana, Lacco Ameno, Barano d'Ischia and Forio.

Generali Country Italia has launched a series of concessions to help its customers who reside in the areas affected by the Ischia earthquake. The interventions include the suspension, extension and deferral of the premiums.

In detail, the companies operating in Italy – Generali Italia, Alleanza Assicurazioni and Genertel/Genertellife – have defined concessions for their customers residing in the Municipalities of Ischia, Casamicciola, Serrara Fontana, Lacco Ameno, Barano d'Ischia, Forio.

Furthermore, to manage claims quickly, Generali Italia has made the toll-free number 800 867 222 available to agents and customers damaged by the earthquake, dedicated to information and claims reports.

THE BENEFIT PLAN

By contacting the agencies of Generali Italia and Alleanza Assicurazioni in the area or by calling Genertel on the toll-free number 800.20.20.20 or Genertellife on the toll-free number 800.20.20.90, it is possible to request the following concessions.

As part of the Non-motor damage coverage, the following are provided:
– suspension of the payment of premiums and of the insurance guarantee for the time necessary to restore the insured items;
– exceptional refund of the insurance premium rate paid and not used;
– extension to 60 days of the premium payment terms for installments due from 21 August 2017 to 30 November 2017.

For cars and motorcycles:
– suspension of the policy: possibility of obtaining the suspension of the insurance coverage. For motorbikes, even in the absence of the relative suspension clause, the insurance coverage will be suspended exceptionally with a manual administrative procedure;
– cessation of risk for destruction of the vehicle. In this case, the premium paid and not used will be reimbursed, net of taxes and contributions to the NHS. The refund of the premium paid and not used relating to the ancillary guarantees is also envisaged, always net of taxes;
– extension to 60 days of the premium payment terms for the installments due from 22 August to 30 November 2017.

For life insurance policies:
– all the premium installments of annual and recurring premium life policies expiring between 22 August and 31 December 2017, may be deferred by 6 months without the application of interest;
– reactivations: interest will not be applied to all policy reactivations that will take place during 2017;
– zeroing of the additional fractionation for the whole of 2017 for requests to change installments on life policies;
– elimination of surrender penalties and pro-rata temporis revaluation for all requests for total surrender on life policies for the whole of 2017 starting from today's date;
– special loans with the application of the retrocession rate net of the withheld yield for all loan applications on life policies made from today to 31 December 2017.
