Intesa Sanpaolo Vita signs an agreement with AON

The Intesa Sanpaolo Insurance Division has signed a collaboration agreement with AON, the leading group in Italy and in the world in risk and human resources consultancy, present in 120 countries, with 11,7 billion dollars in revenues and 72 employees in 2016. The company, listed in New York with a capitalization of 31 billion dollars, is present in Italy with over 1.200 employees and 25 offices throughout the country.

The agreement confirms and reinforces the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's strategic growth objectives in the insurance sector, focusing on the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises and large companies, particularly in the "Non-Life" sector, according to the guidelines established in the Business Plan 2014-2017. The partnership capitalizes on the large client base and in-depth knowledge of the corporate world, of the Italian banking and insurance group and the global insurance technical skills, which distinguish the major international insurance brokerage operator.

There are 1,3 million corporate clients of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, of which 500 thousand retail companies followed by the Banca dei Territori Division, who will now be able to access insurance products and services - both standard and tailor-made - with high added value, in which the Insurance Division may, in the interests of the parties, also agree on the purchase of its own risk quotas.

The collaboration will also involve Divisions of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, Banca dei Territori, Corporate & Investment Banking and International Subsidiary Banks, making it possible to better follow the needs of specific customer segments. The service model envisages that the manager notifies AON of the characteristics of the client company, while the broker - through an in-depth risk assessment - will understand the company's insurance needs, identifying the best solutions on the market, or developing personalized ones (such as for example damage policies on production plants, or civil liability for goods produced and marketed), creating added value for customers and the divisions of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group.

“Through this strategic collaboration – declares Nicola Fioravanti, Head of the Insurance Division of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group – the validity of our bancassurance model is confirmed, with the Insurance Division at its centre, capable of always generating the greatest value for the Group and for his clients. Working together with a global operator such as AON will allow us to complete the current offer with further, even more innovative solutions to meet the needs of client companies, developing the contribution of the "Non-Life" component, where we aim to operate as market leader. Furthermore, our managers will be able to get to know and analyze in an increasingly in-depth manner the companies and the products dedicated to them, expanding multi-channel initiatives and cross-selling opportunities".

“AON, world leader in risk and human resources consultancy, supports the Intesa Sanpaolo Group in insurance services to its customers, with particular attention to the Corporate world. The multiplicity and complexity of risks affecting companies must find ad hoc solutions that allow managers and entrepreneurs to have a clear mapping of potential risks and a consequent customized solution with high added value. The strong territorial presence of AON, with 25 offices in Italy and 500 worldwide as well as its specialization in the various insurance sectors, will allow the Bank's customers to access personalized and effective solutions", says Federico Casini, Executive Chairman and General Manager of AON SpA
