Intesa Sanpaolo informs that it has signed the preliminary contracts for the sale - at nominal value, coinciding with the book value - of a total stake of approximately 5,7% of the share capital of the Bank of Italy, for a countervalue of approximately 430 million euros, to Enpam, Inarcassa, Cassa Forense, Enpaia, Cassa Ragionieri and Banca del Piemonte.
The finalization of each transaction is subject to the positive outcome of the verification – by the Superior Council of the Bank of Italy – of the existence, by the purchaser, of the necessary requirements.
