Intesa reopens all branches, but admissions only by appointment

From today all the branches of the first Italian bank are back in operation, but will receive customers only by appointment and only with a mask (or scarf)

Intesa reopens all branches, but admissions only by appointment

With the start of Phase 2 throughout the country, that of first reopening after the total closure, Italians can recover some of their old habits, even if this does not mean returning to normal. Not yet. Going to the bank, for example, is possible, but only if you respect a series of rules designed to minimize the risk of spreading the Covid-19 contagion.

The first Italian credit institution by capitalisation, Intesa Sanpaolo, makes it known in a note that from 4 May, "and until further notice", it will be possible to access all the branches of the group (no longer just a few) Monday to Friday. The times are as follows:

  • by 8: 30 13 to: 00 for cash and advisory services;
  • by 14: 00 16 to: 15 only for advice.

However, visits to Intesa Sanpaolo branches will also have to be planned. In fact, entry will be permitted only to those who have an appointment. To fix one, the Bank explains, you need to call your "reference branch from Monday to Friday from 8:25 to 16:25".

The objective of this precaution is naturally to reduce and regulate the number of people entering and leaving the branches, in order to avoid gatherings of people and minimize the risk of transmission of the Covid-19.

Not only. Intesa Sanpaolo also specifies that “entrance to the Bank's premises will be reserved exclusively for those wearing the mask or, alternatively, any other garment covering the nose and mouth".

Obviously, access to the branch will not be allowed to anyone who manifests flu symptoms such as fever, cough or difficulty breathing. Those in these conditions must stay at home and contact their doctor or the Health Departments of the competent ASL.

Moreover, concludes the note, many operations can be performed via home banking, without the need to go to the branch.
