Vacant posts in Italian industry and services are on the increase. In the second quarter the figure rose to 0,9%, for an increase of 0,2% compared to the first three months of the year. The data was released today by Istat. The vacancy rate is 0,7% in industry and 1% in services. In both sectors the increase was 0,1% on an annual basis.
In the industrial sector, compared to the same period of 2010, the statistic increased by 0,1% in manufacturing activities, by 0,2% in construction, and by 0,4% in water supply, sewerage, waste and sanitation.
In the tertiary sector, again compared to the second quarter of 2010, there were increases in transport and warehousing services and in information and communication services (+0,2%). In financial and insurance activities there was a drop of 0,2%.
