14 months after entering the Italian market, thanks to a very aggressive pricing policy, Iliad exceeded four million users in our country. The French telecommunications operator announced it in a note, specifying that in the second quarter alone, new users exceeded half a million (530), after 472 in the January-March period.
Meanwhile, Iliad continues to develop its mobile network. In the first half of the year, the group invested 161 million euros on this front, net of frequencies, which in the first half entailed an outlay of another 61 million. The operator thus reached 2.400 sites installed at the end of June and confirms its goal of reaching 3.500 by the end of 2019.
On the balance sheet front, again in the January-June period, the turnover was equal to 177 million euro, while the EBITDA was negative by 108 million.
Iliad had announced on Monday a partnership with Nokia for the development of the 5G network in Italy.
