The news had been in the air for some time, but the official confirmation from the person concerned arrived a few minutes ago.
Gabriele Del Torchio leaves his role as CEO of the Sole 24 Ore Group: "My experience as Chief Executive Officer at the helm of the Sole 14 Ore Group concludes with the Shareholders' Meeting on 24 November which will appoint the new Board of Directors of our Company".
In an email sent to employees: "They have been five intense months full of stimuli and challenges that will remain forever engraved in my memory - writes Del Torchio - In this short period I have had the opportunity to get to know many of you, appreciating the professional qualities of our journalists, our executives, polygraphs and graphic designers, however, I still regret, given the short period of not having been able to get to know you all personally".
Del Torchio concludes: "I want to accompany my farewell with a sincere wish to all of you for every good, prosperity and solid development for our Group".
We recall that the publishing group is currently in difficulty due to the economic troubles that emerged a few weeks ago (277 million losses since 2010) on which the Milan prosecutor's office has opened an investigation file.
