Financial Education Month returns to October

Italy still has a long way to go in terms of financial education. In a country where only 37% of citizens know the basic concepts of economics and finance, public and private institutions are trying to do something to improve the economic and financial notions of Italians. The Month of Financial Education promoted by the Committee for the planning and coordination of financial education activities, to which the Bank of Italy adheres, goes in this direction.

It will be the second edition of the initiative, after the debut in 2018 which saw the participation of 108 organizations and the organization of around 350 events throughout Italy, and will be held once again from 1st to 31st October.

Also this year a very close calendar is expected, already from the first days in which there will be a connection to the "World Investor Week" - the international event dedicated to asset management.

Anyone who wants to participate and propose initiatives can fill out the online form on the ad hoc site, until 13 September.

"Joining - reads a note - will make it possible to use the official logo of the Month and to appear in the promotion on a national scale, so as to guarantee the organizers of the individual initiatives greater visibility and promote the effectiveness of the actions through coordination with the other participants. A chat and interactive tools will also be available for all partners of the Month to maximize communication on events, get to know who in Italy is committed to this front, so as to create synergies".

All initiatives aimed at increasing basic knowledge on insurance, social security and management and planning of personal and family financial resources will be accepted. Indispensable knowledge for the serenity of today and of the future.
