THE JANUARY MARKET – Drogba ignites the great duel between Juve and Milan

THE JANUARY MARKET – Bianconeri and Rossoneri hunting for the great striker who wants to return to Europe – But that won't be the only blow – Milan must replace the probable departures of Robinho and Pato and also look to Pastore, Balotelli and Lewandowski (who Juve also likes it) – The unknown Sneijder is also looming on the market on a free transfer.

THE JANUARY MARKET – Drogba ignites the great duel between Juve and Milan

It's Milan-Juventus again. In the absence of a Scudetto fight (because of the Rossoneri…), the clash moved to the winter market. The parties seemed concentrated on distinct and totally disconnected objectives, then the turning point came at the beginning of the week. Robinho's constant complaints and Corinthias' offer for Pato have overturned Milan's strategies, which are now preparing a transfer market full of strikers. The number one objective has become Didier Drogba, until a few days ago in the odor of Juventus. Marotta has drawn a goal with the Ivorian for some time, but the inclusion of Galliani risks tearing it away in a clear and definitive way.

Drogba has always been in love with Milan, a city to which he has often come for leisure reasons, and this could make the difference. Juve can still play their cards, but certainly the inclusion of the Rossoneri creates some headaches, because now the Ivorian will try to haggle. But the plots don't end there: Robert Lewandowski, the Borussia Dortmund striker who has already scored 25 goals this season, is also in the sights of the two clubs. The Pole is very popular, but his arrival in Italy seems difficult, at least in January.

Certainly, however, if Juve try to sign him, Milan will make themselves heard. In fact, Galliani's movements promise entertainment: after a rather difficult summer, the Rossoneri CEO is ready to act on the market, thanks to Silvio Berlusconi's renewed desire to invest. Spending won't be crazy, but opportunities will be monitored carefully. There is, for example, the one relating to Pastore, who has publicly expressed his desire for Milan. “I have a splendid relationship with Adriano Galliani and Ariedo Braida – Flaco explained to the weekly Chi. – With them, away from prying eyes, we have lunch together when they are in Milan and we talk. Milan is something magical, sooner or later I'll play in the Rossoneri shirt. I'm sure". The operation is rather complicated (the Argentine was paid over 40 million), but not impossible, because the will of the player could make the difference.

In short, if they are roses, they will flourish, a bit like for Balotelli. SuperMario has totally broken relations with Manchester City, so much so that he threatens a court case for an old fine, so there is the concrete possibility of taking him away. The problem, however, is Sheikh Mansour, who has no intention of selling off his jewel. With 25 million (coincidentally the amount that Milan would collect from the Robinho-Pato double sale) things could change, but the deal is still complex. Even more complicated, however, is the Sneijder case, which Inter has already sent on vacation a week early. His history with the Nerazzurri is clearly compromised, but finding an alternative won't be easy. Unless Wesley terminates the contract and finds himself in the enviable condition of "zero benchmark luxury". In that case the barrels will start, which in this market will be really many.
