The Chamber voted the trust placed by the government on the development law decree. Out of 610 voters, 317 expressed confidence in the Executive. There were 293 votes against and 2 abstentions.
The text now goes to the Senate, where it should be quickly converted into law. Last May 24, on the occasion of the trust on the omnibus decree in Montecitorio, Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi had received 313 votes in favor and 291 against.
The decree implements part of the measures included by the government in the reform programme, presented in Brussels together with the Economic and Financial Document (Def), which traces the path to achieving a balanced budget in 2014.
