Hera: in the first nine months of 2011, profit grew by 6,2%. New industrial plan approved

The first nine months of 2009 closed with growing results for Hera. The net profit of the utility amounted to 84 million euros, showing an increase of 6,2% compared to the same period of 2010. Revenues rose to 2,901 billion (+12,6%), while the gross operating margin it reached 466,7 million (+8,2%). The operating result also increased, reaching 240,5 million and showing a rise of 10,2%.

Hera's board of directors also approved the update of the business plan with an estimate of a gross operating margin of 2015 million in 800, (+32% compared to 2010), a roi (return on investments) of 10,5% (it was 8,5% in 2010) and a ratio between the net financial position and operating margin of approximately 2,7 times (3,1 in 2010).

All managed energy, water and environmental services will contribute to the development of the plan. The strong concentration on organic development will determine about half of the expected growth (104 of 193 million). In this context, the commercial thrust in the energy area and the opportunities reserved for future concession tenders will assume particular importance.

The president of the company, Tommasi di Vignano, underlined that "within this update of the industrial plan, which is temporarily placed in a context of persistent economic difficulty in the country, the same presents elements of continuity with respect to what has been achieved so far in terms of growth and recognizes significant spaces both for further development opportunities in the liberalized areas, and - he concludes - for any possibility of development for external lines".
