Crude at lows, oil in the red at Piazza Affari

The umpteenth drop in crude oil weighs on the Italian Stock Exchange, now falling to its lowest level for almost six years – Among the worst on the Ftse Mib Prysmian, Tenaris, Eni and Saipem.

The fall of ballast oil stocks Business Square, which opens sharply lower today (-1,3%), to then recover in the following minutes, while remaining in the red (-0,5%).

What weighs heavily is the umpteenth drop in crude oil, which has now fallen to its lowest level for almost six years. On the Asian markets, futures on light crude wtf fell 63 cents, to $45,23, while those on the Brent recorded a drop of 75 basis points, to 45,84.

Consequently, this morning the worst stocks on the Ftse Mib are those linked to the trend in oil prices: Prysmian -2,42%, Tenaris -2,26%, Eni -2,08% and Saipem -1,53%.

On the other hand, yesterday the sector had recorded a generalized rebound: Eni +1,61%, Tenaris +0,70% and Saipem +4,44% (with Consob which had prohibited short selling of the share for the entire trading session).
