Letta government: here are the 30 undersecretaries and 10 deputy ministers

Council of Ministers last night, urgently, for the appointment of 10 deputy ministers and 30 undersecretaries. In the meantime, the game of 28 remains open chairmen of parliamentary committees. The government team is however more numerous than that of Monti who had 26 "deputies".

Among the undersecretaries to the Presidency of the Council, for the moment, the one who acts as delegated authority for the secret services that Monti had entrusted to the prefect Gianni De Gennaro does not appear. While Antonio Catricalà, former undersecretary to the presidency with Monti becomes deputy minister of economic development. Now in the team of undersecretaries at Palazzo Chigi there are also the Abruzzo senator Giovanni Legnini (Pd) who takes the responsibility for publishing and the government program, Sesa Amici (Pd) and Sabrina De Camillis (Pdl) who will help Minister Dario Franceschini to maintain relations with Parliament, Micaela Biancofiore (PDL) to equal opportunities, Walter Ferrazza (Regional affairs). And there is, surprise, too Gianfranco Micciché (Greater South) with responsibility for public administration and simplification.

The hardest question? The battle around the Ministry of Economy. The hardest question to solve? The battle unleashed around the Ministry of Economy. For the Pd there is the deputy minister Stefano Fassina, right arm of Bersani and economic manager of the party even if he has resigned, with the mandate for tax reform. While the PDL insisted and obtained the appointment of Luigi Casero as deputy minister. Pier Paolo Baretta (Pd) and Alberto Giorgetti (Pdl) arrive in via XX Settembre. Instead Simona Vicari (PDL) will be Undersecretary for Development. A magistrate and a lawyer go to justice: the first, Cosimo Ferri, leader of an independent judiciary, sponsored by the PDL, while the second is the Bersanian Giuseppe Beretta. At the Defense there are Roberta Pinotti (Pd) and Gioacchino Alfano (Pdl). For foreign affairs, on the other hand, Lapo Pistelli (Pd) and Bruno Archi (Pdl) arrive as deputy ministers, while Mario Giro (Scelta Civica) is undersecretary. Confirmed as deputy minister Marta Dassù who was part of Monti's team.

Al Interior Ministry Filippo Bubbico arrives, one of the 10 wise men called by Napolitano, whom everyone took for granted to the Ministry of Economy. So the two interior experts of the Pd, Emanuele Fiano and Ettore Rosato, remain outside the government team, and even Donatella Ferranti can't make it, who is in the running for Justice until the eve. Domenico Manzione (PDL) and Giampiero Bocci (PD) complete the Interior Ministry team. Ilaria Borletti Buitoni (Civic Choice) and Simonetta Giordani go to Culture, while Carlo Calenda from Montezemo (Civic Choice) is Deputy Minister for Economic Development. The mayor of Salerno Vincenzo De Luca (Pd) goes to Transport and Agriculture Maurizio Martina (Pd) and Giuseppe Castiglione (Pdl) while Cecilia Guerra (deputy minister) is confirmed in Labour, accompanied by Jole Santelli (Pdl) and Carlo Dell'Aringa (Pd). Finally the school and the University: Gabriele Toccaffondi, Gianluca Galletti (UDC) and Marco Rossi Doria (confirmed). Paolo Fadda (Pd) goes to Salute.
