In short, we will have to wait a few more days for this first phase to conclude, which Giorgio Napolitano has defined as "very delicate and crucial".
Meanwhile, a hitherto unpublished rumor is making its way: it seems that Mario Monti wants "political representation at the highest levels" of the Executive. This means that the new ministers will not be just the Bocconi technicians we have been talking about up to now. The intentions of the new Premier - however - could collide with the resistance of the same parties, which "do not want to know how to commit themselves to a blood and tears programme", specified the republican Francesco Nucara.
"If we have correctly interpreted his words - added the representative of the PRI regarding the program - (Monti, ed) he will try to balance between tears and blood and the sacrifices will be accompanied by interventions for the work of young people and for more growth for all".
As for the support of the PDL, Fabrizio Cicchitto cools spirits: "No one can think of consensus in the dark". That of the Berlusconi will therefore be a "constructive attitude, on condition that we discuss a programmatic proposal and the structure of the government".
