Generali PPF Holding, a joint venture between Generali and PPF, has reached an agreement with Groupama to acquire Proama, the Polish subsidiary of the French company.

The operation, a note explains, will allow Gph “to expand its business in one of the fastest growing insurance markets in Eastern Europe, benefiting from Proama's strong positioning on the Polish market”.

At the end of the operation, the press release continues, the group's insurance activities in Poland will be managed keeping the Generali and Proama brands separate.
