Generali sells 3,04% of Intesa

generali sold its stake in Intesa Sanpaolo which had been taken on, for defensive purposes, after rumors of an alleged takeover of the bank led by Messina which then renounced the operation

Yesterday Generali sold 510 million Intesa Sanpaolo ordinary shares, equal to 3,04% of the capital. At the same time - indicates a note from the group - Generali terminated the transaction in collateralized derivative instruments, carried out on 17 February, to fully cover the economic risk linked to the purchase of the shares.

The insurance group maintains a marginal exposure to Intesa Sanpaolo shares as an ordinary financial investment.
