Bruno Scaroni, current CEO of Europ Assistance Italia, has been appointed Group Strategy & Business Accelerator Director. Gian Paolo Meloncelli, current Group Strategy & Business Accelerator Director, will leave Generali "at the end of June to pursue new professional opportunities".

Bruno Scaroni holds a degree in Management Engineering from the Milan Polytechnic and an MBA in Finance and Management from the Columbia Business School in New York. In 2000 he joined Goldman Sachs International as a Financial Analyst, and then landed in McKinsey in 2004 where he held various roles until 2008, when he joined Zurich Financial Services, becoming in 2010 Head of Sales Planning and Development of the Group Zurich Italy. In March 2013 he joined the Generali Group, first assuming the role of Chief Distribution Officer of Generali Italia and subsequently, in October 2014, that of CEO of Europ Assistance Italia.
