The Trieste group has reached an agreement with Obi Worlphones for the exploitation of the mobile channel in 20 different markets – Thanks to the agreement, the Generali app will be present on the main screen of Obi-branded smartphones.

Agreement signed between Generali e Obi Worldphones. The two parties announced that they have reached an innovative exclusive agreement through which Generali will leverage the mobile channel reaching up to 20 fast-growing markets by 2017.

Thanks to this agreement, Generali's apps, explains the note released today, will be integrated into Obi's new Worldphones with the aim of reaching a potential consumer base higher than the 10 million people. In this way, in fact, the Trieste group will be able to offer its services via smartphone to a vast audience.

As explained by Giovanni Giuliani, Group Strategy and Business Development Director of the group, "Generali, through its app, will be present on the main screen of Obi mobile phones, giving rise to a new form of engagement with customers".

Obi is a startup that operates in the field of mobile telephony, offering cutting-edge devices at reasonable prices. One of the co-founders of the company is John Sculley, former CEO of Apple. Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will develop a mobile insurance platform based on "native" apps, integrated into the standard set-up of mobile phones.
