Ukraine is ready to accept the EU Commission's proposal for mediation on Russian gas prices. This was reiterated by the energy commissioner Gunther Oettinger who declares himself convinced that a solution "is still possible and is in the interest of both parties", therefore also of Russia. However, Moscow has already announced that from today gas supplies to Ukraine will be based on the pre-paid system because the debt of 4,45 billion dollars has not been paid. Today, in fact, the Russian ultimatum expired.
"There are no interruptions in the flow of Russian gas supplies to Europe." This was indicated by the spokeswoman for the European energy commissioner Guenther Oettinger. The spokeswoman herself added that 'technical' contacts between the EU and Russia continued throughout the day.
