Food, the Himù brand is born: the aim is to produce mozzarella abroad

Producing a typical specialty such as buffalo mozzarella abroad is the challenge of two Neapolitan entrepreneurs, Giuliano Cimmino and Massimo Palumbo, who created the Himù brand. “Between flight connections, time zones or delays in shipments, often the mozzarella abroad does not reach its destination in the times that guarantee its freshness – they explain – In the past few days we have opened the first store in Malta, a mozzarella bar and a micro-dairy: three missions in a single location with an attractive and essential design at the same time”.

The project, in which the boxing champion Patrizio Oliva is also taking part, foresees the opening of other directly managed stores in the world over the next 5 years, opening in London by the summer, then in Rome, Milan and in the north-east. In franchising, the aim is to open 80 shops. The initial investment is equal to approximately 2.5 million eurosa.

The business plan is supported by a group of investors from "Campo dei Girasoli", a holding company that aims to acquire stakes in the food, agri-food and tourism sectors to promote the excellence of Made in Italy.

"At a time when the banking system has stopped working both for businesses and savers, entrepreneurs and professionals have decided to set up 'Campo dei Girasoli' by investing part of their assets in real assets according to the private equity model , the philosophy of the club deal and the family office – declares Glauco Gozzi, president of Campo dei Girasoli -. We are attracting the attention of Sicavs and investment funds. We want to avoid the continuation of a cultural colonization that has appropriated important segments of our economy from abroad”.

“We have selected the staff for the Malta store, around twenty Italian collaborators, assisted by OSM international, focusing not on skills but on aptitudes - add Cimmino and Palumbo - We intend to promote made in Italy, for this reason we have involved other brands such as Antica Maccheroneria by Giancarlo Caiazzo and Caffè Latino by the Buompane family”.
