Presented in Rome, in the Sala Rossa of Palazzo Altieri, the third edition of the report “The experiences of education for economic citizenship. Survey on the Italian reality in the international context, 2012” carried out by Rosselli Foundation, in collaboration with the PattiChiari Consortium.
The analysis, which involved a sample of 2.097 schools, tells how the main achievement of recent years in terms of economic-financial education is the acquisition of awareness by all the players involved. An example? 97% of the Institutes participating in the research share the idea that educational institutions, together with families, have a direct responsibility in launching an educational process in the economic field.
In England, a study by the Center for Economics and Business Research estimates that the lack of financial education costs Great Britain 34 billion pounds, while greater competence would lead to a 10% reduction in unemployment.
